Back To School Is Safety Time For Kids

Getting your young children ready to go back to school shouldn’t stop with school supplies. You also should be thinking about getting their health and safety organized. It may not be something that you want to think about, but a little bit of preparation can make all the difference. We urge you to take a few minutes this week and make a plan.

Alicia on “Stranger Safety “

“Nothing is more important than the safety of your child. As the old adage says, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The most important thing is to teach your child what to do if they are lost or are approached by a stranger. A few minutes of preparation will give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing your child is prepared. For great information and resources, check out this website for more information.

Sarah on “Get Your Flu Shots”

“Doctors across the world are gearing up for more than just a regular flu season this year. With the swine flu (H1N1 virus) posed to re-emerge this fall, parents and caregivers need to be extra vigilant about vaccinations. Experts say that, unlike seasonal flu, which typically strikes hardest at the very young and the elderly, H1N1 swine flu has proven more troublesome for children and young adults. It has also been hard on pregnant women. So if you’re expecting, or have young, school aged children, you should make an appointment with your physician and/or pediatrician now to get properly vaccinated. Don’t wait.”

Here are a few more tips to get your child’s safety Buttoned Up:

1. Get an ID Kit

Many schools have ID days, where safety experts come and create basic ID kits for young children, including fingerprints. Call your school’s administrator to find out if they will have one. If not, it only takes a few minutes to make one of your own. We like the kits made by 911childid.com and safety-identification-products.com, both of which you can order directly online. These cards make it easy for you to capture and store critical elements of identification, like fingerprints and photos. A few minutes of preparation will give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing your child’s ID information is organized and stored in one place.

2. Role Play

Another important thing to do is teach your child what to do if they are lost or are approached by a stranger. Consider role playing with them during calm or quiet moments. Good questions to try out are:

What would you do if we were in a store and you looked up and you couldn’t find mommy or daddy? Good answers are: find a policeman, and if a policeman wasn’t there, go to a person at a cash register or find another mommy with children. What would you ask the person to do? Good answers are: tell them your first and last name, ask them to help you find your mommy or daddy, and wait there until mommy or daddy come back to get you. What if someone tried to make you go with them that wasn’t mom or dad? A good answer is yell and scream and say “NO! You are not my mom or dad!”

3. Make Sure They Have Important Info Easily Available

Your child should always have important medical and contact information with him at all times, just in case something happens. We strongly recommend parents get something which keeps critical emergency, medical, and contact information at the ready. Fill out one for each child and place in the front pocket of each child’s backpack.

Aids-information

Most of us know of this dangerous disease called “Aids”. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is what this disease stands for.

-Acquired refers to how a person can get infected by this disease.

-Immune deficiency refers to how weak a person gets while fighting for this disease.

-Syndrome refers to a group of this health problem that could result in the disease

Aids is the result of a virus called HIV, which is the acronym of Human Immunodeficiency Virus. When a person gets infected by HIV, the body will hence try to fight this disease. It will produce antibodies, the molecules that are meant to fight the HIV.

When a person carried out a blood test, the test looks for these antibodies produced in the body. When these antibodies are found, it means you have the HIV infection. These people are then referred to as having their test positive, further referred to as HIV-Positive”. Being HIV positive does not mean than one has Aids. This disease slowly continues to weaken down one”s immune system.

What spreads HIV?

One does not normally get Aids, when you get infected by HIV; it”s possible to then develop AIDS. Most people do get Aids through the following means

* Having sex with a person infected by Aids

* Sharing a needle with a person who is infected

* Being born to a mother who is infected or suckling from a mother who is infected

What”s the cure for this deadly disease?

There is no cure that is so far found by medical science when it comes to resolving this mysterious disease. There are drugs that could help reduce the damage that it”s causing to a person”s immune system. Pills are medicines are taken hence for this purpose. There is no way to absolutely get rid of this HIV from the body. Aids is deadly, all that can be done is reducing it, not clearing it altogether.

H1n1 Virus Vaccination Scheduled For October

The H1N1 virus, better known as the swine flu, is projected to be a major threat this winter. We hear about this virus in the news and are aware of its existence, but most of us are not aware of its history or the effectiveness of the vaccines that were created to treat this strain of influenza. I chose to research information about the H1N1 virus to make a more educated decision on whether or not I should have my daughter vaccinated.

The presence of this virus was brought to our attention in the spring of 2009 when the Mexican government began closing most of the public facilities in Mexico City due to an outbreak. Evidently, there was already a case of widespread swine flu there before it caught our attention. It spread to the United States as well as many other countries by June of 2009. The swine flu dates back to 1918 when it was commonly referred to as the Spanish Flu, though its origin was never detected. Five hundred million people were affected world-wide and 50 to 100 million people died as result. The virus attacked people with healthy immune systems and the popular idea that children and elderly people would be affected the most was not the case. A healthy immune system would over-do itself to try to beat the virus and in the meantime, it would overreact and actually have the reverse effect on the body.

A strain of H1N1 was responsible for a smaller outbreak in 1976 where a soldier at Fort Dix died right after complaining of not feeling well. This strain was controlled, but a new one was born right after which spread very quickly. A vaccination was created to prevent the re-occurrence of the epidemic that took so many lives in 1918. The vaccination helped with the spread of the virus, but it ended up taking more lives than the virus itself. Many died as the result of adverse reactions to the vaccine and 532 people were diagnosed with Guillian-Barr syndrome as a direct result from taking it. This is an autoimmune disorder that results in nerve damage among many other debilitating health problems. Many people who have Guillian-Barr syndrome need to undergo a form of dialysis where antibodies are removed from the blood and the blood is replenished back to the body. It is possible to survive this health condition but there is usually a long road to recovery which can take many years.

There was a limited case of swine flu labeled as Zoonosis which was detected in 1988 when a pregnant woman in Wisconsin died after being in contact with infected pigs at a fair. There were a few others who came in contact with her that were infected with a mild form of the virus. Many pigs were found to be infected across the entire U.S. in 1998 and it was deemed that the pigs had a typical flu that transformed into a new strain due to a combination of their own flu fused with those of humans and birds. Many pigs were infected in the Philippines in 2007 as well. The H1N1 virus is a combination of influenza spun from four different forms including 2 parts human flu, 1 part bird flu and 1 part pig flu.

The 2009 H1N1 virus exhibits symptoms that are similar to your everyday flu. These include a sudden fever and cough along with any of the other common flu symptoms like chills and body aches. Most people who catch the virus can treat it as they normally would with bed rest and fluids. People who have a weakened immune system can experience further complications like pneumonia or even respiratory failure. Those who are considered to be at a higher risk are people under 5 and over 65 years old. People who have recently undergone asthma treatments by taking prescription drugs are also at risk. H1N1 can have an incubation period of up to 7 days, though this has not been confirmed. It can be acquired the same way as the common flu through something as simple as a sneeze. One out of 1,000 people died of the swine flu which is comparable to the amount of people who have died from common flu. The best way to prevent from getting sick is by routine hand washing and covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when you sneeze or cough and quickly disposing it.

How do we know if we have a common flu or the swine flu? In most cases we don’t and physicians normally do not test patients to differentiate which virus they have. They will conduct a test if the symptoms are severe by administering a blood test or swabbing the back of the nose and throat. H1N1 is usually treated with Tamiflu or Relenza when it is diagnosed. These are antiviral medications that are used to treat the symptoms until the virus runs its course. The fact that most people are not tested for the H1N1 virus is concerning.

The numbers of people who actually carry this virus has to be unknown if everyone infected with flu symptoms has not been tested. Even though most people with this virus have a mild form of it, I would think that The World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would want to know how many cases are out there whether the infected people have severe symptoms or not. If this virus is more widespread than we think, perhaps it’s possible for an even larger strain to develop that we are not prepared for. I’m wondering why it is recommended to be vaccinated this year to prevent this illness if there is not enough concern for doctors to even test for it. The fatality rate is the same for the H1N1 virus as it is for the common flu and most of us have functioned just fine without a vaccination for that.

The H1N1 vaccination is not a cure for the virus as it is simply a preventative measure. Flu vaccines are on average 70-80% effective according to information provided by Fox News. Keep in mind that if you take this vaccine, you will be injected with a form of the virus that has been grown inside chicken eggs in a laboratory. Testing for the product’s safety just began earlier this month and it is already deemed to be safe. It is now being “tested” on pregnant women and children. Are these pregnant women and parents of these children who are being “tested” willing participants? It is possible for a person to develop immunity about 5 weeks after the vaccination process is complete, allowing you to fall victim to the virus in the meantime.

This is due to the fact that each person will need at least two rounds of the vaccine for it to be effective. It is said that there will only be a portion of the vaccines available in October, then more vaccinations will be released each month thereafter. Is this a way to test the vaccine that was just recently reconstructed from the same type of vaccine that was administered in 1976? This is not all that concerns me. They will also be throwing in additives that have never been tested to the second batch of vaccines. How long will they test that batch if it hasn’t even been created yet?

Do I want to vaccinate my daughter? I think not, and I hope it does not become mandatory. I have weighed the pros and cons of getting her vaccinated. Do I take extra precautions so my daughter does not get the virus that is practically identical to the common flu? Keeping her safe from the flu doesn’t seem as important as preventing the problems that can occur from taking the vaccine. The vaccine administered in 1976 and the cases of Guillain-Barr syndrome that resulted from it is concerning. I would rather my child have a mild form of the flu than to die from her immune system attacking her nervous system later in life. Neurologists have already been alerted to keep their eyes open for new cases of Guillain-Barr syndrome when the vaccination is released. It seems that the risks outweigh the benefits with this vaccine, but it’s not easy for drug companies to turn down an opportunity to make a killing in revenue.

Cold And Flu Medicine- Fighting The Never-ending Battle

All kinds of viruses dog humanity, but few have the diabolical persistence of cold and flu bugs. Indeed, there are so many different forms of colds and flus that figuring out exactly what we we’re afflicted with can sometimes be more than a little confusing to both patients and physicians. Starting with near-chronic mild coughs and sniffles that can last for weeks or even months without causing even a mild fever, to the kind of one-two punch that can easily knock the healthiest among us out commission for several days, to serious illnesses that require medical attention especially for the very young or the elderly, to mysterious cases of “the blahs” that come and go with a logic all their own, these common ailments come at us with bewildering persistence. It’s no surprise, that cheap or expensive, in both good and bad economies, the sales of over the counter retail and closeouts, sales wholesale cold and flu medicine remain evergreen for retailers at all price points, both cheap products and expensive product solutions.

In recent years, newsworthy strains have emerged including avian influenza and the H1N1 strain, or so-called “swine flu.” While this may seem like just so much fodder for the worry-inducing TV news, the fact of the matter is that these are serious health concerns and that calls for vaccinations should be heeded. Of course, there are so many strains of the flu that no one is completely protected from bugs, though shots may still reduce the severity of variant strains. Colds are another matter and, while very rarely life-threatening, can open the door for other illnesses and, almost as bad, cause countless hours in lost productivity and, just as bad, lost enjoyment of life. Such dread illnesses as polio and smallpox have been all but annihilated; new treatments for once invariably deadly cancers have been developed, and even the AIDS retrovirus – which at first terrified scientists with its complexity – has become highly treatable. For all that, we are seemingly no closer to “a cure for the common cold” than we were thirty years ago. No wonder cold and flu remedies are such consistent best sellers.

Most OTC cold and flu medications include a few types of ingredients, either singly or in combination. For starters, there are pain relievers from the NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) family that often also reduce fevers; these include aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol), Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), and Naproxen (Aleve). Then, we move on to antihistamines of various types that slow down mucus production and also may cause drowsiness and help us to sleep. Fighting the same problem from a different angle, decongestants help to reduce the size of blood vessels in nasal passages and make mucus easier to expel. In addition, there are antitussive cough medicines that work by circumventing the coughing reflex, and expectorants that make coughs more productive (which is a polite way of saying they make it easier to cough up “lugeys”). Other medications that may help with the stomach flu in particular include antacids along the lines of Alka-Seltzer. Also, there are popular herbal remedies that raise the eyebrows of skeptics but which many consumers swear by.

The vast array of OTC retail wholesale cold and flu medicine is, for most of us, genuinely helpful in getting through a cold or a flu – particularly if they help you get plenty of rest – one of the only surefire treatments we know for shortening colds and flu. Other common sense tips worth mentioning — though you’ve heard them all before — for coping during mild illnesses include consuming lots of fluids, eating healthily to bolster your immune system, avoiding alcoholic beverages (particularly if you consuming products that cause drowsiness and/or contain acetaminophen, which should never be used with alcohol) and definitely refraining from smoking. Our mothers also remind us of the miraculous properties of one of one alleged cold cure that’s always cheap and that we personally really and truly believe in: chicken soup.

Using Vitamins To Battle Cold And Flu Season

2009 will be remembered as the year of the swine flu. Indeed, this worrisome, sometimes deadly strand of flu has impacted the world in a way that has not been witnessed for many years. As people of all ages line up for their flu shots, it is important to know that vitamins and natural supplements can help treat and prevent these sometimes serious health issues.

How do Vitamins help protect us against the swine flu and other viruses? A virus impacts damage by spreading throughout the body. It is much more difficult for a virus to spread through a healthy body. Vitamins strengthen the immune system, which in turn creates a stronger body that is equipped to keep viruses at bay.

Natural vitamins do more than just act as preventive medicine. They can also be used to help individuals recover from a cold or flu faster.

Using vitamins when you have the flu

In any given year between 5% – 20% of the population will get the flu virus. In bad years as many as 300,000 people may be hospitalized as a result of the flu. Vitamin experts agree that taking high doses of Vitamin C during the early stages of the flu can help speed recovery time. 3-4 grams of Vitamin C in the first 24 hours of symptoms is considered a mega-dose, but one that will help promote the healing process. Always check with a professional before taking a high dose of Vitamin C.

Using zinc supplements to fight off colds and the flu

Zinc supplements are known method of getting healthy when youve been brought down by a cold or flu. Zinc helps promote a healthy immune system which, even in the midst of an illness, plays a role in recovery. The active ingredients is Zinc have been found to reduce the length of cold symptoms significantly. The ability of the zinc supplements to help fight colds is dependent upon when the individual begins taking the vitamins. Generally speaking, the individual must begin using zinc in the first 24 hours of the colds onset.

It is important to remember that vitamins and natural supplements alone are not enough to prevent or cure a cold or flu. If are you suffering from either of these conditions, and symptoms persist over an extended period of time, seek help from a medical professional. You should never try to diagnose yourself, or take additional amounts of supplements in an effort to get better faster.

It is also vital that you know and understand the recommended daily dosage levels for vitamins. If you are taking amounts that are significantly higher than these dosage levels, please consult a physician or a health care professional before proceeding.

Read the labels on all the vitamins you purchase and follow directions closely. These instructions were created by medical professionals who understand the vitamin supplements and how they will affect the system. Straying too far from these instructions can be dangerous. And if you keep kosher, there are vitamins available to meet your needs as well. Kosher vitamins follow the strict preparation guidelines of the Jewish faith and offer all of the benefits of regular vitamins.

O-plex Mist With Origanum Vulgare: A Patented, Natural Alternative With Drug-like Effects

Every day the quest of discovery for life-changing ingredients continues at Dermazone Solutions. In order to fulfill our company mission, we must improve the quality of peoples lives by sharing the advancements in care made possible, in part, with our life-science technologies. It was this quest that led us to the miraculous Origanum Vulgare a wild mountain-grown oregano found exclusively in the Mediterranean.

In the beginning, our research and development team was interested in the efficacy this oregano offered to eliminate P. acnes bacteria, the bacteria that causes acne. But we could not ignore what our research showed, and so the discovery goes

Our Medical Director, Chris Brown, M.D., a board certified infectious disease specialist, formerly with the NIH (National Institutes of Health), conducted a series of laboratory tests he thought appropriate to confirm or not confirm the positive findings embodied in the extensive literature concerning oil of oregano. Dr. Brown designed a series of laboratory tests to be conducted to measure the effects of oil of oregano on Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus, MRSA and P. acnes.

The results were more dramatic than anything we could have anticipated! The oregano-based compounds outperformed the best of traditional antibiotics and prescription anti-fungal medications, demonstrating the capacity to destroy the bacteria, fungi and virus tested against. These studies, along with the wealth of studies and articles published over many years, validated our beliefthis miraculous ingredient was truly life-changing.

Two years in development and three years since its launch, O-Plex Mist has proved to not only be an alternative solution for acne concerns for thousands of our customers, but we have been overwhelmed by the testimonies from those who have ventured to use this product as a remedy-like alternative for a seemingly endless variety of maladies, symptoms and conditions Euphoric in their praise of its effectiveness with sore throats, colds, flu symptoms and all kinds of skin diseases!

I cant even believe this happened so I had to write to let you know; my throat was getting very dry and sore and I thought I dont have time to be sick! I heard about the O-Plex Mist and thought what the heck. I sprayed it in my mouth about 3 times a day and after the second day, poof, no more sore throat! V. Rolyn

My daughter came home from school with a very bad sore throat. Within hours, her fever rose to over 101 and would not come down even with medication. I had heard from friends about the O-Plex Mist and how is helped their kids. So I had her start spraying the O-Plex Mist in her mouth about every four hours and within two days she was completely well! I dont know what she had but nothing has cleared up a fever and sore throat like this Mist. Thank you, Dermazone. – S. Bell, Florida

The whole family uses the O-Plex Mist at the first sign of a sore throat! Both my husband and I have used the mist to stop Poison Ivy! My oldest son thanks me for introducing him to O-Plex Mist because, as he puts it, “my face does not look like a pepperoni pizza anymore! All four of my children thank O-Plex Mist for their clear complexions! A. Schmitt, Indiana

O-Plex Mist is an amazing product. It is a very potent spray that kills bacteria and is great for fighting acne. Not only does it work well on fighting bacteria in our skin, but I use it to disinfect all of our toothbrushes once a week. It is safe and great for getting rid of any bacteria thats on the toothbrushes. Our O-Plex Mist is with our medicine and we could not live with out it. C. Helt, Indiana

My girlfriend told me about this new product that she discovered O-Plex Mist. She said that it was an antibacterial spray that cleared up her sons acne, and that he was so happy about it, he was spraying it everywhere. When a cold went through their house, he didnt get it! She realized that there was something special about this spray, so she gave me a bottle when started to come down with a cold. I started spraying it immediately, and it cleared up within a couple of days. Incredible!! S. Hash, Wyoming

I had heard that the O-Plex Mist completely cured ear aches from my friend but I was a bit reluctant to try it on my daughter even though she suffers from ear aches regularly. One Sunday she woke up with a horrible ear ache, and since my pediatrician was closed I decided to give the Mist a try. I dipped a q-tip in the liquid and slowly inserted it in her ear. Within minutes, my daughter was saying how much better she felt. There was a warm feeling and she said it helped make the pain go away almost instantly. I treated her ear one more time that day and by Monday morning she was fine! We dont use antibiotics anymore for our daughters ear aches. Thanks so much for a great product.

- J. Miller, Michigan

So my dog got into a fight with another neighborhood pet. I promise we are not holding dogfights; it was a bit of a fluke. Anyway, he gets this scratch over his right eye, and its bad, but not bad enough to pay a vet bill, so I grabbed my bottle of O-Plex Mist and sprayed it and cleaned it as best as I could. I continued to spray it 3 to 4 times a day and it healed pretty quickly. My neighbors dog still looked a bit bruised when I saw him, but not my Brutus. Hes good to go! – L. Randolph, Texas

Every year my daughter struggles with ear infections. My brother recommended that we try spraying some O-Plex Mist into her ear just to see if it would help. He said, Its a bacterial infection, right, why not use an anti-bacterial spray. So we tried itand lo and behold, it worked!!! I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! Now, my daughter keeps it in her bathroom, and sprays it at the first sign of pain. P. Roberts, New York

More Research

These evidence-based customer experiences are confirmed by a number of independent studies, including that of the Georgetown University Medical Center (2001). Dr. Harry G. Preuss, M.D., who led that study, reported, among other things, the following:

(1) Oregano oil at relatively low doses was found to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus bacteria which is responsible for a variety of severe infections and is becoming increasingly resistant to many antibiotics as effectively as the standard antibiotics streptomycin, penicillin and vancomycin.

(2) Mice infected with staph bacteria that were treated with oil of oregano achieved survival rates equal to or better than the survival rates where the antibiotic vancomycin was administered by injection.

Earlier in 2001, researchers at the Department of Food Science at the University of Tennessee reported that, among various plant oils, oil of oregano exhibited the greatest antibacterial action against common pathogenic germs such as staph, E. coli and Listeria [Journal of Food Protection, Volume 64, July 2001]. Somewhat earlier British researchers reported oregano oil had antibacterial activity against 25 different bacteria [Journal of Applied Microbiology, Volume 88, February 2000]. A clinical study in Italy has shown that oil of oregano can be used to treat intestinal parasites [Phytotherapy Research, Volume 14, May 2000].

The body of positive evidence for oregano oil as a major antibiotic is growing. Among 52 plant oils tested, oregano was considered to have pharmacologic action against common bugs such as Candida albicans (yeast), E. coli, Salmonella enterica and Pseudomonas aeruginosa [Journal of Applied Microbiology, Volume 86, June 1999]. Pseudomonas is a type of germ that is getting more difficult to treat as it has developed strains that are resistant to antibiotic drugs.

The growing problem of antibiotic resistance has health authorities concerned. Already various germs are showing resistance to vancomycin, particularly to intestinal bacteria among hospitalized patients [Southern Medical Journal, Volume 94, August 2001]. Vancomycin is considered to be one of the most potent antibiotics available and has been withheld from use as a drug of last resort.

More Evidence

The Georgetown University studies, along with those cited above, confirm the observations of Dr. Cass Ingram as presented in his book The Cure is in the Cupboard. In his 187-page treatise, Dr. Ingram, considered the leading authority on the production and uses of oil of oregano, reports the following:

(1) Oil of oregano is one of those rare substances that can alter the course of history. It possesses dependable anti-infective powers; in other words, if a contagious infection develops, oil of wild oregano is one of the few substances known that will produce consistent positive results.

(2) New studies have been performed on wild oregano oil demonstrating powerful antiviral actions. The oil was tested against aggressive germs, including the cold, flu and even bird flu viruses. In all cases the wild oregano oil destroyed the viruses. In tissue culture the wild oregano oil virtually completely destroyed the human coronavirus, a 99.9% kill, in a mere 20 minutes. The coronavirus is the microbe responsible for nearly 50% of the infections diagnosed as the common cold or pneumonia and is solely responsible for SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). The destruction of the influenza A and bird flu viruses was nearly as complete; a 99% kill. This is an impressive result, which has never been achieved by any drug.

These extensive studies and Cass Ingrams observations fully validate and confirm the experiences of our employees, customers and friends who have used O-Plex Mist.

We have been able to take what God made perfect, origanum vulgare, biblically known as hyssop (used by Moses to prevent and combat various diseases which afflicted the children of Israel), and make it work even smarter with our life science delivery technology know as Lyphazome.

We feel compelled to share and connect as many people as possible with this Promise of Performance for the season upon us. It is a simple matter of mothers connecting mothers for the good of our children, says Deborah Duffey, President and mother.

But the Discovery with O-Plex Mist Continues to Grow

Read what nationally recognized and respected veterinarian Dr. John McCarroll has to share as he began to experiment with O-Plex Mist on performance horses just this year

Using the O-Plex Mist, sometimes diluted for applications in the uteri of brood mares or on the eyes, but mostly full strength as contained in our bottles, I have experienced outstanding results. Stubborn infections of the uterus, which could not be effectively treated by the best prescribed antibiotics, often after months of treatment, were cleared up in a matter of a few days. Wounds of all kinds have improved in about half the usual time, using the best standard pharmaceutical medications. In one large training barn an extremely stubborn saddle fungus that had persisted for a couple of years was obliterated with this formula.

We ShareYou Decide

We believe we are living in a time when conventional drugs are becoming less and less effective against infectious diseases, with bacteria mutating and becoming resistant and often immune to the very best of the conventional drugs, regardless of cost. Moreover, as the headlines remind us almost every day, dangerous viruses of all kinds seem to proliferate and come at us in waves as the flu season arrives, lingers and finally goes. The media pounds out the dire warnings of Asian flu, bird flu, swine flu, SARS, influenza A, etc., etc., all of which severely threaten our health, and the health of our children and families. And yet, notably absent from all the dialogue of each potential crisis is any mention of a drug which will prevent or cure the disease resulting from the guilty virus.

Existing drug regimens are mostly ineffective against all of these viruses, and the federal government is exerting frantic efforts to spur the pharmaceutical industry to come up with a vaccine or vaccines which will work before a major pandemic overwhelms the country.

Often the sore throats and colds which are the precursors of the dangerous influenzas we are being warned about are beyond the reach of known conventional medications.

How To Be Immune To The Swine Flu Onslaught In September & October

It will most likely infect 30-40% of the U.S.
population, or about 100 million people, according to
flu expert Ira Longini, from the University of
Washington’s School of Public Health.

Initial supplies of the swine flu vaccine, which will
be available sometime between mid-September to late
October 2009, are expected to be very limited — barely
enough to inoculate the 160 million people who are at
high risk of becoming infected. An even bigger concern
is whether the fast-tracked vaccine is safe and
effective — since it’s being rushed to market without
the appropriate testing and safety evaluations.

There is a growing suspicion in the general population
and among certain members of the medical community,
including Dr. Joseph Mercola, the publisher of a
popular self-titled natural health newsletter, that
being exposed to this new swine flu vaccine might prove
to be more dangerous than the swine flu itself.

A new book, “The One-Minute Cure: The Secret to
Healing Virtually All Diseases,” offers compelling
evidence that the swine flu virus can be rendered
powerless in the body when one self-administers a
natural oxygenating substance. Madison Cavanaugh, the
book’s author, states that public fear is incorrectly
placed on the swine influenza virus itself. “Microbes,
germs, harmful bacteria and viruses, such as the swine
influenza virus, do not cause disease in and of
themselves,” Cavanaugh states.

“They do seek their natural habitat — such as an
oxygen-deficient body — rather than being the CAUSE of
the disease. It’s no different from the way mosquitoes
seek out stagnant water, but do not cause the pool to
become stagnant.”

Cavanaugh’s assertion is consistent with the findings
of Dr. Rudolf Virchow (1821 – 1902), also called the
“Father of Pathology.”

It is also supported by Louis Pasteur, the notable
19th century French chemist and microbiologist best
known for his remarkable breakthroughs in the causes
and prevention of disease, who recanted his germ theory
of disease at his deathbed, stating, “The microbe is
nothing. The terrain is everything.”

The terrain of which Pasteur spoke refers to an
oxygenated environment in the human body, which makes
for a strong immune system. A weakened or suppressed
state of the immune system only occurs when the human
body lacks oxygen, thereby allowing viruses, such as
the swine influenza virus, to breed.

It therefore stands to reason that the swine flu
virus does not CAUSE disease, but rather seeks out an
environment where it can thrive best — and that is in
oxygen-deprived bodies.

“A sufficiently oxygenated body is uninhabitable by
disease,” Cavanaugh states, and viruses can neither
survive nor thrive in it. Therefore, the best defense
against microbes, germs, harmful bacteria and viruses,
such as the swine flu virus, is to keep the body
oxygenated.”

Cavanaugh’s book, “The One-Minute Cure,” discusses
the therapeutic use of the only natural substance which
stimulates the movement of oxygen atoms from the
bloodstream to the cells to a dramatically greater
degree than is usually reached by other means.

The natural remedy can be self-administered at home
in less than a minute, and costs only 1-1/2 cents a day
to use.

How To Be Immune To The Swine Flu Virus.. Newest Update

Madison Cavanaugh, author of “The
One-Minute Cure: The Secret to Healing
Virtually All Diseases” has a message of
hope, however. She insists that the fear
is incorrectly placed on the swine
influenza virus itself. “Microbes, germs,
harmful bacteria and viruses, such as the
swine influenza virus, do not cause
disease in and of themselves,” Cavanaugh
states.

“They do seek their natural habitat –
such as an oxygen-deficient body — rather
than being the CAUSE of the disease. It’s
no different from the way mosquitoes seek
out stagnant water, but do not cause the
pool to become stagnant.”

Cavanaugh’s assertion is consistent with
the findings of Dr. Rudolf Virchow
(1821 – 1902), also called the “Father of
Pathology.”

It is also supported by Louis Pasteur, the
notable 19th century French chemist and
microbiologist best known for his remarkable
breakthroughs in the causes and prevention
of disease, who recanted his germ theory of
disease at his deathbed, stating, “The
microbe is nothing. The terrain is
everything.”

The terrain of which Pasteur spoke refers
to an oxygenated environment in the human
body, which makes for a strong immune
system. A weakened or suppressed state of
the immune system only occurs when the human
body lacks oxygen, thereby allowing viruses,
such as the swine influenza virus, to breed.

It therefore stands to reason that the
swine flu virus does not CAUSE disease, but
rather seeks out an environment where it can
thrive best — and that is in oxygen-
deprived bodies.

uninhabitable by disease,” Cavanaugh states,
and viruses can neither survive nor thrive
in it. Therefore, the best defense against
microbes, germs, harmful bacteria and
viruses, such as the swine flu virus, is to
keep the body oxygenated.

Cavanaugh’s book, “The One-Minute Cure,”
discusses the therapeutic use of the only
natural substance which stimulates the
movement of oxygen atoms from the
bloodstream to the cells to a dramatically
greater degree than is usually reached by
other means.

This action creates an oxygenated
environment that enables the body to cure
itself of virtually all diseases ranging
from influenza to cancer, AIDS, heart
disease, asthma, diabetes and arthritis.

The natural oxygenating substance which is
the core subject of the book has a long
history of therapeutic use dating back 170
years ago when it was used to reverse a
wide variety of illnesses — from minor
ones like colds and flu to serious ones
like cholera and malaria. It has even been
used to help stop the Spanish Flu of 1918.

Over the past 70 years, this safe,
inexpensive and powerful healing modality
has been administered by an estimated
15,000 European doctors, naturopaths and
homeopaths to more than 10 million
patients to successfully treat practically
every known disease.

The natural remedy can be self-
administered at home in less than a minute,
and costs only 1-1/2 cents a day to use.

How To Make Your Body Immune To The Swine Flu Virus

As the number of swine flu deaths swell to an alarming 1,800 worldwide,
and the World Health Organization predicts an “explosion” of swine flu cases in the coming months and declares a “public health emergency of international concern,” a pandemic appears
to be not only possible but inevitable. The last pandemic — the Hong Kong flu of 1968 — killed about 1 million people. (Source: Associated Press August 21, 2009)

The outbreak of swine flu virus last spring was only a preview of the frightening events to come.
The full onslaught of swine flu in the United States will make itself painfully known during the upcoming flu season, starting fairly early in September.
It will most likely infect 30-40% of the U.S. population, or about 100 million people, according to flu expert Ira Longini, from the University of Washington’s School of Public Health.
(Source: ABC News and msnbc.com)

Initial supplies of the swine flu vaccine, which will be available sometime between mid-September to late October 2009,
are expected to be very limited — barely enough to inoculate the 160 million people who are at high risk of becoming infected.
An even bigger concern is whether the fast-tracked vaccine is safe and effective — since it’s being rushed to market without the appropriate testing and safety evaluations.

It is a growing suspicion in the general population and among certain members of the medical community,
including Dr. Joseph Mercola, the publisher of a popular self-titled natural health newsletter,
that being exposed to this new swine flu vaccine might prove to be more dangerous than the swine flu itself.

Madison Cavanaugh, author of “The Secret to Healing Virtually All Diseases” insists, however,
that the fear is incorrectly placed on the swine influenza virus itself.

Tips To Avoid Winter Colds, Flu And H1n1

Nobody likes to get sick, particularly around wintertime. The cold weather exacerbates respiratory symptoms, making recovery far less pleasant than it could be. At least during warmer months, a sick person can enjoy the warmth of the sun while they’re recovering, but the colder days at the end of the year make recovery a positively miserable experience. It’s also no surprise that so many people catch colds during this time of year. Children are still in school, parents and families are out shopping and interacting with one another in the rush to get last minute holiday gifts or visitations out of the way, and the chances of transmission from person to person go up, up, and up.

Fortunately, a reasonable degree of prevention can spare many people the frustration of going through a cold or flu during the winter. While they aren’t foolproof, there are many steps that people can take to protect themselves and their families from falling ill.

The Flu versus A Cold

Both influenza (the flu) and the common cold are respiratory illnesses; both are caused by viruses that irritate the lungs and lead to symptoms like coughing, congestion and aches. However, they are caused by entirely different viruses, differ in intensity and symptoms, and are even transmitted by different means. Understanding the differences is important to treatment if all your prevention fails and someone does get ill.

Colds are largely transmitted through physical contact, rather than airborne transmission such as coughing or sneezing. Most people get colds by touching a contaminated surface, then touching their own eyes, nose, or mouth – such as handling a magazine passed by a friend who has a cold, followed by scratching an itchy eye corner. The flu, however, can be transmitted through airborne means as well as physical contact.

Between the two, influenza tends to be far more severe than a cold. Flu symptoms develop aggressively, sometimes within three to six hours of initial exposure, while a cold tends to develop more gradually. Both illnesses cause respiratory symptoms, but they differ in the details. A cold will generally result in a wet cough producing a lot of mucus, whereas the flu frequently results in a dry, unproductive hacking. Colds tend to have associated affects such a congestion and sneezing, whereas the flu does not. The flu more frequently results in a fever and strong body aches. The flu is significantly more dangerous, and should be watched carefully.

An Ounce of Prevention

There are steps that can be taken to prevent transmission of cold and flu germs, which in combination greatly reduce the chances of catching one of these diseases. Since as yet there is no cure for either ailment, preventative care is the best option available.

First, people should wash their hands regularly. As mentioned, cold and flu viruses spread through physical contact. Keeping your hands clean with soap and warm to hot water helps the most in preventing this casual contact. If these are not available, an alcohol-based sanitizer is an acceptable alternative, though the scrubbing and warm water are generally more effective.

People should avoid touching their nose and their eyes with their hands. Germs aggressively latch onto bare skin, and many infections come from inadvertently touching the soft tissues of the nose or eyes. In addition, people shouldn’t cover their mouth with a bare hand when they cough or sneeze. If at all possible, they should sneeze into a tissue, and discard the tissue immediately afterward.

Drinking plenty of fluids is also important. The human body uses liquids to filter out the body’s accumulated wastes, resulting in a healthier system overall. A healthy body with proper fluid intake is less likely to contract a cold or flu than one working less efficiently from having too few servings of water.

Vitamin C is also important to the immune system, so juices with this vitamin can double up on fluid and vitamin intake in most cases, though people shouldn’t neglect plain water as well.

In particular, the flu can sometimes be prevented through a vaccination, commonly known as a flu shot. This involves exposing people to a weakened or dead form of the flu virus, allowing their body to develop immunity to it before the flu season begins. The vaccine is widely available, but is most recommended for the category of patient who is considered to be at most risk for serious flu complications: generally young children, people aged sixty-five or older, and those with preexisting chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or other heart and lung conditions. For a healthy young adult, the flu shot may not be as necessary, so they may wish to consider allowing the more needy to get to them.

The current H1N1, or swine flu, is a different variety of our seasonal flu and a different vaccine is available for this virus. However, it is affecting different groups of people, mostly children, young adults, and pregnant women. The same preventative steps can be taken for both the H1N1 virus and the regular seasonal influenza. If you’re thinking about getting a flu shot, you should check with your doctor to determine if you need the regular vaccination, the H1N1 vaccination or both.

As a final note, people need to take the time to relax and avoid unnecessary stress. While stressors can be invigorating stimuli, too much unresolved and unproductive stress can wear the body out very quickly, reducing efficiency and increasing the risk of infections. People should make an effort to reduce the stress on their bodies by eating healthy foods, taking care of their fitness and hygiene, and taking the time to get proper amounts of sleep and relaxation each day.

While colds and the flu are contagious, and can cause problems, a little bit of information and care can help prevent the infection and let people enjoy a healthy winter season.
